International Museum Day 2025

In the context of International Museum Day 2025, the Mauritius Museums Council is organising an exhibition on Stamps in collaboration with Mr Ah-Lan Lam Yan Foon, a member of the Dodo Philatelic Society.

The contents of the exhibition will be as follows:

  1. Colonial Era;
  2. Diplomatic Relation;
  3. Neighbouring Islands;
  4. UN-Universal declaration of Human Rights;
  5. Chinese Horoscope, Joint issue – Canada, Hong Kong and China.

The exhibition will be opened to the public as from Saturday 17 May 2025 up to Friday 27 June 2025 at the Natural History Museum. Port Louis.

Also on this occasion the two National Museums will be opened to visitors as follows:

  1. Natural History Museum, Port Louis
  • Saturday 17 May 2025 – 0900 hrs to 1600 hrs
  • Sunday 18 May 2025 – 09 00 hrs – 16 00 hrs

 

2. National History Museum, Mahebourg

  • Saturday 17 May 2025 – 0900 hrs to 1600 hrs
  • Sunday 18 May 2025 – 09 00 hrs to 16 00 hrs
