In the context of International Museums Day- May – 2015, the Mauritius Museums Council has opened a new INSECTARIUM at the Natural History Museum, Port Louis on 19 May 2015.The Insectarium displays about 200 species of different insects from Mauritius and different parts of theworld.The inauguration ceremony was carried out by Honourable Mr. Santaram Baboo, Minister of Arts and Culture in the presence of the Director of Natural History Museum, Mr.Vikash Rupear and other eminent personalities.
