The Sir Seewoosagur Ramgoolam Memorial Centre for Culture is one of the specialised museums under the purview of the Mauritius Museums Council since 2000. It comprises seven rooms where the personal paraphernalia of Sir Seewoosagur Ramgoolam are displayed. These include his furniture, clothes, medical equipment and certificates.<\/div>
\u00a0<\/div>
A major feature of the Centre is a photographic exhibition highlighting the main events in the life of this great statesman and of the nation. In the first room are displayed two wooden sofas, an office table and a chair, a bust in plaster, photographs, books and press articles in English, French and Hindi on Sir Seewoosagur Ramgoolam. The second room has panels briefly retracing his biography and depicting his quotes. This room is also used as audiovisual room where documentaries on Sir Seewoosagur Ramgoolam are regularly projected to the visitors.<\/div><\/div>

A third room exhibits some personal belongings of Sir Seewoosagur Ramgoolam – clothes, shoes, bed, dining table and cupboard, as well as gifts he received from other countries. Photographs illustrating international relationship and his contacts with world leaders are also displayed.<\/div><\/div>

In the room, which Sir Seewoosagur Ramgoolam used as medical cabinet, are exhibited his medical equipment, certificates and furniture.<\/div><\/div>

A statue in bronze of Sir Seewoosagur Ramgoolam, made by the Russian artist and sculptor, Alekandrov Moskow, in 1987, is found in the front courtyard.<\/div><\/div>
